For an architect who has spent too many cycles tracing order matching logic instead of reading price charts, the useful question is not "is this bullish?". The useful question is whether the system that generated the number is measuring real demand, masking leverage, or simply absorbing more risk into the same clearing layer.

That matters because people often overapply the modular blockchain narrative. Dedicated data availability becomes the default answer for every performance problem. It is not. Some systems need stronger sequencing guarantees. Some systems need faster finality. Some systems need deterministic gas. Some systems need better off-chain matching and on-chain settlement. Hyperliquid belongs to the execution layer, where the failure mode is not "we cannot post data". The failure mode is "we cannot process risk quickly enough".
